The micro teaching lesson that was done online was a bit out of my comfort zone because I am not used to talking or presenting a lesson online. The process about doing an online lesson was very interesting as there are so many ideas and options that one can use to include in an online lesson. While I was exploring tools that I could use in my lesson I could not decide which one to use because they were both creative and suitable for my lesson. What I did not like about the online teaching was just overall presenting because I know I'm not one to speak in front of people and it was my first doing this. The new skills I gained from this experience was talking and presenting a lesson online that I did not expect to do. I learnt how to use blackboard and all the tools one can use to create all sorts of activities for the learners while doing an online lesson. I did this where I got a picture from google and uploaded it on blackboard and the learners needed to circle which were carbohydrates, protein etc. What I would do differently is focus on my time management during the lesson and make sure that I get the learners to engage more in the lesson instead of me doing all the talking. Start the lesson off by having the learners sing a song relating to the topic or have the learners do a brain break to keep the learners active and engaged in the lesson. When having an online lesson, it can be stressful because learners can easily get distracted by what is happening around them. I chose the right tool for my lesson because it was easy to use, and the learners were able to interact with the lesson like draw around the object I called out they were able to use the tools given to them on blackboard. I did not want to make things complicated for my learners because they are still learning how to use technology and most of the time not all gadgets have the same tools to let the learners have access to them. This is why I kept it basic and where all my learners were able to engage. Since COVID 19 teachers had to quickly adapt to this new teaching strategies which is good because we as teachers need to be prepared for anything. It has given me good exposure on how to conduct an online lesson and expand my knowledge on certain areas on how to include certain tools in the lesson to make it exciting and interactive for learners to enjoy.

This was an extensive reflection on your online microteaching. I thoroughly enjoyed when you presented your lesson online and wouldn't have guessed that you were nervous to speak in front of people as it all flowed very naturally for you.
